Global Aware International Limited (“GAI”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We share information to assist organisations in combating terrorist threats, by providing clients with email alerts, through the bespoke software supplied by GAI , organising conferences and through any other methods of communication that we feel are appropriate (the “Services”).

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to in it) sets out the basis on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

GAI. is staffed by individuals who assist with providing the Services. You agree that we have the right to share your personal information with members of GAI staff and approved contractors for the purpose of providing you with the Services.

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

Mobile Applications

The web based systems that we provide, also have mobile applications which provide some of the functionality supplied within the software. These mobile applications are:

  • Merlin Mobile
  • TravAware

Authentication to these applications is controlled by the web based system, and therefore requires that the user signs in using the credentials for the main site. Each application requires the following to function correctly:

  • Access to location data gathered by the mobile device.
  • Access to the camera on the mobile device.
  • Access to the photo store on the mobile device.

Any data transmitted from the mobile application to your instance of the web application are sent securely via SSL (HTTPS). This information is not stored in any other location either owned by GAI, or any third Parties.

Access privileges to the application are controlled fully by the main web application.

Usage of the mobile applications is not logged or in any way stored by GAI.

The mobile applications do not collect or store any personal data (except for login credentials)

Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request will be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
